750 Kilograms Vegetables Harvested Through Simultaneous Harvesting in East Jakarta

Total 750 kilograms vegetables were harvested in simultaneous harvesting carried out in 73 urban farming locations and RPTRAs in 10 sub-districts and 65 urban villages in East Jakarta, on Friday (8/20).

East Jakarta TP PKK Head, Diah Anwar stated, this activity was carried out simultaneously throughout Jakarta and was led virtually by Jakarta TP PKK Head, Fery Farhati.
"The simultaneous harvesting in East Jakarta is attended by TP PKK, farmer groups, RPTRA administrators, urban farmers, karang taruna, as well as government and private agencies," she mentioned during harvesting at Mayor Office's Green House.

"We have harvested total 750 kilograms vegetable and horticultural crops for today's simultaneous harvesting. Not only vegetables, but there are also fruits and medicinal plants, as well as 120 kilograms catfish," she informed.
The harvests will be distributed simultaneously to the community, TP PKK cadres, urban farmers, RPTRA administrators, and other parties involved. While 120 kilograms harvested catfish will be sold to pecel lele food traders in East Jakarta.
East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Acting Head (Plt), Ali Nurdin mentioned, his side will continue to guide 73 urban farming locations in East Jakarta to ensure urban farming process be carried out properly. That way, the results can be satisfactory, as happened today.
"All urban farming locations in East Jakarta are under our guidance. We hope the reforestation program will continue to run well. It is hoped that it can motivate both farmer groups and those who have not become farmer groups," he added.
He hopes people becomes more interested to be urban farmers by utilizing narrow land for reforestation or urban farming. Thus the harvests can later be used to meet the needs of the community.
